Best mink blankets in India, by weight and use

There isn't one 'best' mink blanket — it depends on your winter, bed size and budget. A practical shortlist from our own range.

“Best mink blanket” is a search people run, but it’s the wrong question on its own — a 1300 g single-ply and an 8000 g double-ply are both mink, and both can be the right answer, depending on what you actually need it for. Below is a shortlist from our own range, made at our factory in Gharaunda on the Panipat–Karnal textile belt, organised by the decision that actually matters: how cold your winter gets, what bed size, and what it’s for.

If winters where you live are mild to moderate

Melody — 1300 g, single ply, single bed. The lightest in our range, and the one most buyers pick for hostel supply, budget gifting, or anywhere the per-piece cost has to stay low without dropping the mink finish altogether.

Harrier — 1600 g, single ply, double bed. The double-bed equivalent of the same idea: an entry-tier price point that still covers a full double bed.

If you want a genuine mid-weight all-rounder

Gravity — 3600 g, double ply, double bed. This is the weight most north Indian households actually land on — substantial enough for a real winter, without the bulk of our heaviest pieces.

Seltoss — 3200 g, double ply, double bed. A close sibling to Gravity, a touch lighter, for buyers who want double-ply construction without going all the way to the top of the weight range.

If the cold is genuinely severe

Alpha — 8000 g, double ply, double bed. The heaviest blanket we make, by a wide margin. This is the pick for Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal and anywhere else winter isn’t a mild inconvenience.

Star-King and Star-King Black — 5000 g, double ply, double bed, premium gift tier. A step down from Alpha in weight but still built for serious cold, with a finish and presentation aimed at gifting rather than just utility.

If it’s a gift and the design matters as much as the warmth

Picasso — 6000 g, double ply, premium tier. Heavy enough to be taken seriously as a winter blanket, with print designs chosen specifically for gifting rather than plain utility stock.

Naman — 5100 g, double ply, our heaviest piece in the Cloudy finish rather than Mink — worth a look if you want a different hand-feel at a similar weight class. (Mink, Cloudy and Supersoft are our three finishes — see what actually separates a mink finish from plain polyester if you’re deciding between them.)

How to actually verify “best” for your case

Two numbers decide this more than anything else: GSM/weight and ply. We’ve written both up in detail — how to read blanket GSM and weight and single-ply vs double-ply mink blankets — so you can check a spec sheet yourself rather than take “premium” or “luxury” on a label at face value.

The full range, with every weight, ply and bed size published openly, is on our mink blankets page. If you’re not sure which of the above fits your case — or you’re buying in bulk and want a quote — tell us the details and we’ll point you at the right one rather than the most expensive one.
